Brooklyn Loft
For this project, I was hired by a Lighting And Grip company I occasionally worked with, Eastern Effects, to build a loft structure for three offices and a cafe area. As this was the first construction job I was doing on such a large scale (i.e. lot's of people on it that could fall down and go "boom"), my plan (which was only scratched out on a piece of scrap paper), needed to be approved by the Landlord. Fortunately, he was the owner of a large contracting firm, so (after a lengthy interrogation) he was willing to let me proceed in my lone, unorthodox manner. His complement to my work was a job offer; unfortunately it was just a little too mainstream for me...
